This course is a great entry-level programme that focuses on learning high-quality Resuscitation (CPR) skills and the management of a collapsed person. Perfect first aid course for community groups, clubs, or churches.
The aim of this 4-hour course is to provide learners with the life-saving skills of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. The course emphasises basic practical skills in a fun and interactive learning environment.
This course meets the NZ Resuscitation Council qualifying requirements for Basic Life Support.
This is a great course for those who want to use first aid at home and those who just need to learn basic CPR skills. It is suited to those new to first aid or refreshing first aid knowledge.
Important note: this course may not meet WorkSafe compliance; we recommend checking the WorkSafe New Zealand guidelines below. This course does not replace the required biannual First aid recertification.
WHAT THIS COURSE COVERS
The course contains theory and practical scenarios covering the following topics:
- Primary assessment
- CPR and choking
- Use of Defibrillator (AED)
PREREQUISITES AND REQUIREMENTS
The course is taught in English, and a reasonable understanding of English will be required. If you are concerned about your English, you may contact us to discuss the option of having your interpreter attend the course with you.
Learners must be physically capable of kneeling on the floor to do CPR.
