Please note there is limited free parking in the area and we encourage carpooling where applicable.
The Community of St Luke is centrally located between Newmarket and Remuera within the Medical Mile.
The classes are held in the Community Centre behind the church. The entrance is up the driveway on the right side of the church.
By car - take the Market Road exit off the Southern Motorway (State Highway 1).
By public transport - the centre is a ten-minute walk from the Newmarket Railway station. There’s a bus stop at the gate where eight bus routes stop: 605, 606, 625, 635, 645, 655, 770 and 771.
Coffee, tea, and milk will be provided to all participants.
Lunch is not provided; however, various food outlets are around.
The First Aid Training Company

There is free on-street parking available nearby our training facility. Please park on the grass area across the road next to the CityCare fence.
The First Aid Training Company's brand new state-of-the-art training facility is conveniently located on Springs Road near the several arterial roads just off the Southers motorway (take Hallswell Jct Rd exit). You can also enter Springs Road from Halswell Junction or Main South Road.
Access to level one is via the stairs.
Coffee, tea, milk, water, and biscuits will be provided to all participants. Lunch is not provided; however, various food outlets are around, and a kitchenette equipped with a microwave and fridge is available in the training room.
There are Unisex toilet facilities with direct assess from the classroom.
This 4-hour advanced resuscitation (ACLS) course is ideal for healthcare professionals and non-clinical staff. The course covers basic principles of managing cardiac arrest and is CORE Immediate Adult equivalent (previously known as CPR level 4/5).

This course specifically applies to teachers, school support staff and carers and focuses on providing emergency first aid to children under the age of 14 within the school environment or care setting. It is a great team bonding exercise or a teachers-only day activity.
First aid certificates must be renewed every two years. This first aid refresher (revalidation) course brings your knowledge and first aid skills back up to speed. Your first aid certificate must be current or within 3 months of its expiry date to be eligible for renewal.
This course is an 8-hour essential first aid ‘core programme’ for workplace first aid. Work Safe, or first aid level 1 (equivalent to unit standards 6402 and 6401), is perfect for low and medium-risk workplaces and will prepare your team to respond to the most common emergencies.
This course is a 12-hours comprehensive first aid programme, also known as first aid level 2. Extended first aid is ideal for moderate to high-risk workplaces and will cover all relevant topics and equip your team with required first aid skills.
