This course meets general requirements for First Aid at Work
This course is an 8-hour essential first aid ‘core programme’ for workplace first aid. Work Safe, or first aid level 1 (equivalent to unit standards 6402 and 6401), is perfect for low and medium-risk workplaces and will prepare your team to respond to the most common emergencies.
This 8-hour course gives learners skills, knowledge and confidence when providing essential first aid. The course emphasises practical skills in a fun and interactive learning environment.
This course meets the qualifying requirements for Basic Life Support according to current New Zealand Resuscitation Council guidelines and the legislative requirements for the provision of workplace first aid.
This course is ideal for first aiders in low-risk workplaces and anyone who wants to learn basic first aid skills. It suits those new to first aid or renewing your certificate if it was issued more than 2 years ago.

The course is taught in English, and a reasonable understanding of English will be required. If you are concerned about your English, you may contact us to discuss the option of having your interpreter attend the course with you.
Learners must be physically capable of kneeling on the floor to do CPR.
